Holidays are a wrap and we're on to the next. In our fast-paced world, feeling constantly tired, stressed, or out of sync has become the norm for many. But it doesn't have to be that way. Here are some helpful BABY steps to help get yourself back on track. Might I suggest, ONE area of focus at a time. Don't try to do too much at once, especially when you're trying to build new conducive routines.

  • Prioritize quality sleep by creating a calm bedroom environment: dim lights, cool temperatures, and a screen-free wind-down routine. ROUTINE is the key; Sunday through Sunday. 
  • Say no to overcommitment to protect your energy reserves.

Without adequate rest, restoration becomes impossible. Think of it as recharging your battery—essential for everything else to function smoothly.

 

Restore

Once you've built in rest, focus on actively restoring what daily life depletes:

  • Fuel with nutrient-dense foods: plenty of vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and proteins to replenish vitamins and minerals.
  • Stay hydrated and consider gentle movement like walking or yoga to promote circulation and healing.
  • Remember to get outside and to get sunshine, the body NEEDS this. 

This phase is about rebuilding from the inside out, healing any wear and tear, and boosting your natural energy sources.

 

Rebalance

Finally, rebalance brings it all together for lasting equilibrium:

  • Tune into your body's signals and adjust habits accordingly—more rest when needed, nourishing meals consistently.
  • Foster supportive routines that align work, relationships, and self-care.

Rebalance isn't a one-time fix; it's an ongoing practice that helps you thrive amid life's changes.

 

Start small: Choose one area to focus on this month—perhaps better sleep for rest, a green smoothie for restoration, or a daily walk for rebalance. Over time, these steps compound into profound well-being.
